It’s the final countdown (no, not that song from Europe in 1987)

Its finally here, the final match of the 2021 6 Nations.

One of the teams can win the title, one can influence who the winner is. But, lets not forget regardless of what happens, the richest rugby nation of them all with the most registered players, England finish 5th!

Why are we here with this bizarre game on a Friday night instead of Super Saturday; Waffle Gate.

Regardless of what happens next, we have had a fantastic display of quality rugby. Like football, home advantage has been compromised due to the lack of fans in the stadia and that’s made it interesting.

Lots of politics have influenced this game, threats of inquiries by government ministers, cash being handed over to release players outside the international window. Its not the build up that anyone would have wanted. But as fan, I am just grateful that we are getting to watch rugby, as always rugby is the winner in this retched time that we forced to endure. Hopefully you and your loved ones are safe, when we get back together next year we will look back, drink a lot, raise a few glasses in memory of the what’s happened, we will curse and swear a lot, but be grateful for what we have.
